Health Insurance

You have three options:

• To do this as a group in your work place (see health Insurance for businesses);
• To join a group of colleagues of any of your family members as a relative – usually employees with group health insurance are allowed to insure also their closest relatives;
• To insure your health individually.

Companies operating in Latvia most offer health insurance only for groups. However insurance can be purchased also for a single person, it is just more expensive and has to be planned ahead, since individual policies tend to have waiting period (it becomes effective not earlier than in two weeks time after purchase).

Another option is an international health insurance, which is available also in Latvia.
